Feng Yu received his Ph.D. from Renmin University and is Associate Professor of Chinese at Brandeis University. He specializes in modern Chinese language, classical Chinese language, traditional Chinese philosophy (Confucianism, Daoism, Buddhism), and Chinese cultural heritage as a whole. He is the author of numerous books and articles including A Learners’ Handbook of Modern Chinese Written Expressions (The Chinese University Press, 2000) and Tian Yu Ren [Heaven and Man] (Chongqing Publishing House, 1990).
