Cooperation with Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business

(***information is being  assembled***)

Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) is one of the top business schools in China. Prof. Tu Weiming is the chairman of the Humanities Committee at CKGSB. After WEIB was established in Oct 29, 2012, Prof. Tu helped CKGSB found the Center of Business and Humanities, to bring humanistic study and education to the business school and to advance the interdisciplinary study across humanities and business ethics.

The mission of Cheung Kong GSB is to generate world-class insight on management theory and practice, and to develop world-class business leaders for China and beyond. To achieve this, CKSGB takes a holistic approach on business education, integrating humanities directly into the business school curriculum. The Cheung Kong GSB curriculum includes a human dimension that helps future business leaders live enriched lives. As the president of Humanity Committee of CKGSB, Professor Tu Weiming has given series of lectures on Cultural China and Global Citizenship. Prof. Tu has also presented on humanities and business ethics numerous times.

Here, we would like to mention that on 2013/08/19, Professor Leisinger and Professor Wieland, invited by Prof. Tu, successfully gave lectures on business ethics at CKGSB.

In 2014, we plan to collaborate closely with CKGSB by establishing a Research Center on Humanities and Business Ethics. To support this center, WEIB has formed a young passionate research team. Upon CKGSB’s request, our team has taken the responsibility of designing and developing humanities courses for EMBA, MBA, FMBA, DBA, EE, and Global Programs and so forth.
