Li Ruiquan graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1974 and received his PhD from Southern Illinois University in 1981. Li is a Professor of Philosophy at the Department of History of National Central University. He has been engaged in teaching at National Central University since 1980. He has also served as Director of Department of Philosophy, National Central University. He has published more than 120 research papers including 23 English papers. He has also authored and edited many books including “Hume”, “History of Western Philosophy Volume V”, “Chinese Culture and the World” etc. He has also presented more than 150 papers in different conferences. He has been also associated with many projects under the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health. His areas of interests are Neo-Confucianism, Bio-ethics, Kant Philosophy, Applied ethics.
