Shi Yongmin is the founder and chairman of Julink Investments Co., Ltd, an integrated enterprise that has expanded into the business of venture capital and private equity investment, communication and media, manufacturing and 3rd-party logistics. Shi received his B.S. in Power Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1986 and an EMBA from the first graduating class of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) in 2004.
Shi established Julink Investments in Hong Kong in 1993. He also co-founded Tibet Natural Agriculture and Food Co., Ltd, a leading enterprise in the local agricultural industry. Prior to Julink Investments, Shi worked in China Marine Design and Research Institute (MARIC), and Sumitomo Corporation of Japan.
Besides business activities, Shi has been closely involved in the study and promotion of Chinese traditional culture and western civilizations. He launched Shanghai Jiao Tong University Julink Humanities Foundation in April 2010, which later supported the founding of the Institute of Advanced Study in European Culture of Jiao Tong University in September 2011.
An advocate in education and various social causes, Shi has served on the board of many committees, most notably as Vice Chairman of Shanghai Public Relations Association, Director of the Education Development of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Secretary General of Shanghai Hongkong Economy Senior Advisory Committee, Founder and honorary Chairman of CKGSB Shanghai Alumni and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Odyssey of the Mind Association in China.
